Racoon Posted March 31, 2006 Report Posted March 31, 2006 It used to be the Summer for obvious reasons for me. Sun, sweat, and babes with short shorts! :) ;) Now My favorite season is Autumn! I love Harvest time, and the cooler but sunny weather. :hyper: The smell of burning wood and leaves in the air...a slight drizzle, and the short but sweet transfer of leaf color from green to red, orange and yellow!S' great! So Hypo's...Whats YOUR favorite time of the year? and why? Quote
Queso Posted March 31, 2006 Report Posted March 31, 2006 if it's warm, i'll be happy. That's why I chose Monsoon. Quote
IrishEyes Posted March 31, 2006 Report Posted March 31, 2006 Tough one!Everything is so pristine after a snow. I so love to snuggle up in front of a blaze with a good book and an *Irish* coffee, so winter is really nice. (Just don't expect me to go out in that stuff, ok?) Flowers bloom, trees turn green, birds sing... ahhh, I love the spring! Colors blazing everywhere, golds and oranges, reds and browns, leaves falling to the ground, the smell of pumpkin pie in the air... Fall rocks! Did you guess that I chose SUMMER?When all is said and done, nothing beats the beach! Warm salty breeze blowing in off the ocean, waves lapping at your feet, sand between your toes, sweat slowly beading on your skin... man, i just can't get enough of the time between May and September!! infamous Posted March 31, 2006 Report Posted March 31, 2006 It's a toss up between summer and autumn. Summer because we have all those warm months that we don't have to be cooped up inside the house and autumn because it's the most beautiful time of the year. The only problem with autumn is all we have to look forward to is winter, and winter depresses me...........................Infy Quote
Drip Curl Magic Posted March 31, 2006 Report Posted March 31, 2006 A couple years ago, I realized that when it was winter, my favorite season would be summer.... and when it was summer, my favorite season would be winter. Summer and winter are both very joyful just because of how intense the weather gets. I like intensity every once in a while. But you can't neglect spring and autumn! Autumn's leaves make me feel so warm inside... even when the weather is heading in the opposite direction. And spring with all of it's blossoming flowers really keeps me chillin'. I love all months. I appreciate taking a walk in the rain. And I also appreciate taking a nap on a rock while being beamed down upon by sunlight in the middle of nature. Oh, boy. I guess if I had to pick a favorite season right now.... I'd definately pick summer. I can't wait for some beautiful sunny hikes in the santa cruz mountains. But I voted for autumn. arrrg.:hyper: Quote
InfiniteNow Posted March 31, 2006 Report Posted March 31, 2006 Where's the "I like 'em all" choice? Quote
Racoon Posted March 31, 2006 Author Report Posted March 31, 2006 Where's the "I like 'em all" choice? I'm trying to limit options to 5, IN! :eek_big: some of us Hypo's aren't the sharpest crayons in the box...:) :hihi: and get easily confounded when "favorite" includes "all" Quote
InfiniteNow Posted March 31, 2006 Report Posted March 31, 2006 Glad to see you took some of the polling parameters mentioned into consideration. Good poll. I had a really tough time with it, because I kept thinking of all of the various things I do during each, and why they are each so beautiful. Now, if you'd said "Which season do you like least?" I'd have chosen summer... Living in TX, that's pretty easy. :eek_big: Quote
Buffy Posted April 5, 2006 Report Posted April 5, 2006 Glad to see you took some of the polling parameters mentioned into consideration.Obviously Rac was razzin' you, but you came through and took all the credit anyway! Boys are *so* predictable! :eek2: Summer can't be beat: I like the rain in the spring, but unless you live in LA you can never work on your winter tan.... Hot fun in the summer time, :eek:Buffy Quote
Jay-qu Posted April 5, 2006 Report Posted April 5, 2006 I like all the seasons for thier own reasons! But I voted summer because with that comes holidays! Quote
Billy Posted April 5, 2006 Report Posted April 5, 2006 I live down under and here i love summer,we have bbqs and the surfs great here but i also love winter cos i get to go to the slopes, its between the two autumn and spring are too neutral for me n we dont have monsoon down here:D well its either winter or summer for me  Quote
InfiniteNow Posted April 5, 2006 Report Posted April 5, 2006 Obviously Rac was razzin' you, but you came through and took all the credit anyway! Boys are *so* predictable! :confused:Buffy, you rock. Not only for noticing, but for calling me out on it. I was considering replying to Rac: "Yes, you did use five choices, but you could have put "All of the above," instead of, "Monsoon." :) Choices my friend... It's all about how you use them." Quote
ingannilo Posted April 5, 2006 Report Posted April 5, 2006 Autumn. Cooling off > warming up. However, it depends on geographic location. If I'm up north far enough to keep summer temps shy of ~80F, it's all good. Likewise south enough to keep winter warmer than ~40F. I think this is kindof universal. Autumn kicks *** everywhere. Quote
alexander Posted April 13, 2006 Report Posted April 13, 2006 monsoon is not a season of the year! (it may be considered one in certain countries, but for the majority of the world it is not a season at all)wont vote just yet, too hard a choice... Turtle 1 Quote
Turtle Posted April 13, 2006 Report Posted April 13, 2006 It is a tough choice.:) I went with Winter. In spite of the outdoor extremes, it is the best time to go outdoors for a number of reasons. First, fewer people go out so I risk fewer encounters.:eek2: Next is having the leaves down & seeing the terrain as at no other time of year, as well as the burls I have hunted. Then there is the cooler temperatures helping to regulate the heat of exertion; remember to layer up, so you can layer down.:cup: Of course there is the walking in precipitation unique to Winter whether snow or sleet. Yeah, Winter.:eek2: Quote
bpjg2fat Posted April 13, 2006 Report Posted April 13, 2006 summer is just so...  :eek2:  ......summer:) Quote
zee Posted April 13, 2006 Report Posted April 13, 2006 Spring is the one for me.Altough autumn is no 2 on my list for the colors that come with it.Spring also for colors and how the air smells, feast for the senses.I can spend hours looking at the flowers and the butterflies. Quote
