Right...

In the vein of "Nothingness" and "How Many Peanuts Can Fit into a Volkswagen", I present you with...

...gratuitous drumroll...

The Official Hypography Change-a-word!

Rules:

1 - We start out with a sentence.

2 - You can change only one word in the sentence.

3 - A change can be physically changing one word, adding one word, or deleting one word.

4 - The resultant sentence must be coherent. Any incoherent sentences don't count and should be either deleted or ignored.

Don't worry about post-padding. To the best of my knowledge, posts made in the Test Forum don't up your post count in any case. This is just to entertain you between your sandwich and your next cup of coffee while you're contemplating resigning from your mind-numbing job.

So off we go. I will present the honour of starting off to the very first poster here, with the limitation that the first sentence should not be longer than, say, six words.

Go at it, boys & girls!

The thing below is not above suspicion.

In the beginning was the word. But by the time the second word was added to it, there was trouble. For with it came syntax... :)

The cow acquitted is above suspicion.

A lady came up to me on the street and pointed to my suede jacket. "You know a cow was murdered for that jacket?" she sneered. I replied in a psychotic tone, "I didn't know there were any witnesses. Now I'll have to kill you too." :partycheers:

The cowbell is never above silencing.

(honest, there's a method to this madness)

Where the bee sucks, there suck I; in a cowslip's bell I lie, :partycheers:
