Tormod
I have just finished reading this brilliant book: Amazon.com: The Drunkard's Walk: How Randomness Rules Our Lives: Leonard Mlodinow: Books http://www.amazon.com/Drunkards-Walk-Randomness-Rules-Lives/dp/0375424040/ It is, basically, a history of the science of probability, and it explains the human tendency to look for patterns. We could argue that causality is a man-made thing because our brains are wired to try to make sense of chains of events, even though we only see a few of the events that actually have an impact on things that happen. Interesting stuff.
