In fact, the US is currently engaged in air strikes in Somalia... It would seem we have *intelligence* that there are al-Qaeda leaders there:

According to news and this source a top al-Qaeda leader, who bombed the US embassies in 1998 was killed.

So what is it about Somalia that they find haven there? Why Somalia?

 

Are they a producing region?

Do they have healthcare?

What types of infrastructure to they live with?

 

Fxzeu created this thread under the title, "A collapsed state." Let's explore why. Maybe then we can better understand why the target of US attacks found themselves residing in that region in the first place. :Waldo:
