I couldn't think of any other reason for the effort to propose something to replace trigonometry, trying to claim it's easier for students and quicker to use. There's nothing wrong with trig. I'm amazed that the University of South Wales is promoting this work. This will make their math department the laughing stock of mathematics academia.
