CIE A LEVEL Biology Options

Is anybody taking CIE's board A Level? Today I had the first day of school (Yr13) and I was quite disappointed that my teacher chose "Growth, Sex and Reproduction" for the options, instead of "Mammalian physiology". :hihi: I was excited to know how the brain, muscles, liver etc worked with much more detailed but my teacher didn't want to chose it...

Anyway...

1) You don't need a license to think. Go the the Web or to a library and read.

2) Excerpted from Tom Lehrer's "Be Prepared!" ("This one is a little song dedicated to the Boy Scouts of America.")

If you're looking for adventure of a new and different kind,

And you come across a Girl Scout who is similarly inclined,

Don't be nervous, don't be flustered, don't be scared.

Be prepared!

3) American zero-goal education ("every child left behind") will not meaninfully perturb your nascent state of ignorance in any real-world perceptible way.
