TINNY
How do I just extract the audio from vcd's and dvd's and convert them into wma or mp3?
Aki
What you need to do that is a program called ripper. I found a link for you, it has a bunch of rippers to choose from, so take your pickhttp://www.download.com/Rippers-Encoders/3150-2140_4-0.html?tag=dir

TINNY
hang on, I only wanted a video-to-audio converter so that I just get the sound from the vcd's and dvd's.
Tormod
Here is one, but may not have all the feature you need: http://www.mp3towav.org/Video-to-Audio-Converter/
Tormod
Here are some more options (free software): http://www.handyarchive.com/free/dvd-audio-ripper/ I'd still recommend QuickTime Pro at $29.99 though.
alexander
there are quiet a few, i'm sure that if you go to google and search for it you'll find one for free too. There were links to quiet a few of those programs from some of the links i posted to you in video streaming, i'd check them out, not sure whether there were free ones, but there were quiet a few so chances are...QuickTime is a very good piece of software, the only thing that i can think of better is MPlayer, the possibilities are endless, just the manual explaining all the command-line options for it is like 50 pages long... (if you want to, i can attatch it) But Mplayer combined with knowing some bash is the way to go.
