Mercedes Benzene
Stoppers (rubber or otherwise)Stoppers are used to well... stop the flow of a substance from one container to another (or the floor:hihi: ). They create airtight seals that serve a couple purposes.Typically, stoppers are placed in test tubes or beakers to allow safe transport or the ability to shake. Some stoppers contain holes that allow the insertion of tubing, which can be helpful when heating and transportation of a gaseous stubstance is necessary. I'm glad I could be of service. :QuestionM lol. Perhaps someone else would like to do the test tube entry?
Mercedes Benzene
Okay. Test TubeA common item in the laboratory. Consists of a glass or plastic "tube" with a rounded bottom. They are commonly plugged with stoppers (see above), and can be used to mix or heat samples.

ronthepon
I begin drooling when I see the excellent quality equipment. Imagine spending ten minutes figuring out how to use a sucking type pippete to extract concentrated nitric acid, only to discover that the lab assistant pours it directly into the test tube from the dangerously dirty reagent bottle. CHeersThanks for your concern, but I used non-copywritten images. Imagine spending ten minutes figuring out how to use a sucking type pippete to extract concentrated nitric acid, only to discover that the lab assistant pours it directly into the test tube from the dangerously dirty reagent bottle. That sounds positively dreadful! Mercedes Benzene
Büchner funnel A Büchner funnel is a tool used to efficiently filter a substance by means of a vacuum. The funnel is placed in a Büchner flask, which is essentially an Erlenmeyer flask with a little "arm" protruding from the side. Filter paper is placed in the funnel (which is usually made from ceramic), and the substance to be filtered is placed on top. One end of a hose is connected to a vacuum pump, while the other is connected to the flask via the "arm". The pump is activated and the solvent is pulled through the funnel by vaccum current.
