Maine farmer
Going from the farm to my house heading east on a partly cloudy evening, I noticed a bright light between the clouds, and it occurred to me that it could be Sirius. Well, it made my wife laugh anyway. Moontanman

CraigD
Puns on Sirius are inherently more tasteful than ones on Uranus. Sure, our sense of humor has changes since 1781, but I still think Hershel should have put a bit more thought into that naming. Or maybe he did, in which case he was a very funny guy.
