Plasic As A Catalyst Stage

Carbon Dioxide or CO2 is a terminal product of combustion and is therefore very stable. This is not a good starting point for carbon fibre materials It is like trying to start a fire with frozen sticks.

 

It is easier to begin with fossil fuel materials like coal or oil. These could benefit by a catalyst which can free hydrogen and leave behind carbon.
