How Do You Spend Time On Your Home Network?

Recommended Posts

So this is objective ofcourse, but i was wondering how you guys spent time on your house networks. I am working on a restructure of mine, wondering what you guys think and what you guys had going on... so here's what i'm working on:

Cable Modem (Motorola)
          |
Firewall/IDS/Router (sun netra t1, quad interface nic, openbsd)
     | |
Main switch/ secondary router (catalyst 2900)
     | |
Wrt54G Yoggie Gatekeeper Pro (small, but way cool )
   : | |
wap54g 16 port netgear 8 port netgear GS608 (pretty , white, gigabit)
    | | |
   OSD | Main Wired Net
                 Testing Net

let me just point out points of interests

Ok so the cisco will have 2 vlans with 2 router ip's that will point to separate interfaces on the sun box, this lets me configure completely different rule set between the vlans, which will be fairly cool

the wrt runs dd-wrt and actually so does the wap, and now i have the wap bridge the connection and actually i am working over wireless, while plugged into the wap right now, this took a while, lol

OSD is Neuros OSD, it's like a media server...

the testing net will house my various play boxes, and network equipment, honeypots, who knows... etc

main wired net will house protected desktop boxes, servers, some laptops, etc.

main wireless will hang off the wrt... which will host 2 vlans, wired will be separate from wireless

So, what kind of weird setups do you have, or are working on implementing at home :) ?
