  1. To all: I am logging off till tomorrow because of a surgury and the pain med is "kicking in" making it hard to type and keep my train of thought. talk to all of you wonderful people later. shadetreecountryboy Peaceout!:(
  2. LJPO7: I totally agree with you. Also it is very hard to sit on jury duty and have to vote on such a sentence. Everything you say is sooo right. On the subject of money: I did a report on Rikers Island and was shocked to learn that in the year 2006 it cost 87,000 dollars to feed, clothe and supply other human rights to inmates! Doctors,etc.,etc. Just think; people were exonorated with new D.N.A.procedures in the last 10 years. Just think what forensic tool we will have in the next 10 years! I like to sleep at night and I do not think I would sleep very well knowing I voted for death, when in 10 years advancements in forensics could exonerate a human being.
  3. Uncle Al: Please tell ne where you got all of this info so I may study/read it. Thanks, shadetreecountryboy.
  4. eye on the skies, I totally agree. I think sometimes that one may confuse "in the begining" with the big bang. The bible says in the begining that the earth was void, that means the earth was in existence, it just was not in very good "working order. I also agree with you that this should not be some long debate. Peaceout!
  5. I inadvertently posted a thread under chemistry, but I intended to post under "general science". There is a lot we can use the 4 processes of "the scientific" method to test miracles as interpreted by the ancients. Please read shadetreecountryboy's thread under the chemistry forum. Thanks. 1 thing for starters,"the Nile running red with blood", pissed off algae!
  6. Ok. Here we go... Science and intelligent design work together, not against each other. How? You ask. Well, this is a new thread and we need to see some questions asked to focus on an answer. I feel I can do this using the accepted K.J.V. and the N.K.J.V., the 2 versions christians approve for teaching purposes. Please keep in mind that this thread is NOT a debate for or against ANY religion; just a science oriented "how and why" showing explanations of some of the miracles in relation to science. Any takers? I start this thread in total humility, eager to learn, eager to show.:phones:
  7. Good day Michaelangelica, I love the cartoon of the "bi-polar"bear. The fear quote is sadly the reality of our "STATE' of the union. May I have tour permission to use the cartoon? My friend with a PHD.PSYCH would love to have it so he can put it on his file cabinet with all the others for the nurses to see. I have had 2 near death experiences. If you would like to hear them let me know. Ignorance leads to fear, fear leads to anger and anger leads to violence. History tends to prove this hypothesis. Peace, shadetreecountryboy.
  8. orbsycli: I agree with you, alcohol is the worst, seen it myself. I know a responsible guy who could not function because of his pain and he takes his extended release morphine the way he is supposed to and everything works much better for him. It allows him to get up, get out, live without assistance, go to school part time and make A's and B's in subjects like science ,psych.,etc.,etc. Without it he would need assisted living. There is a time, there is a place,,,for everything. The key is RESPONSIBILITY!
  9. moontanman; First, forgive my typing. I have problems with the letters(G)and(Y),because of fingers being re-attached, a couple of them anyway. The downside of the demolition trade :-0. (I have a license.) All I can say is, When transporting a blasting cap turn off the two way radio and be sure the two wires are tied together! Anyhoo,, on the subject of mother Earth's core I totally agree. There is an article in the scientific american archives on this subject. I can see these theories explaining how a diamond is formed. It would take these conditions to change black carbon to a beautiful diamond. By the way, on the subject of diamonds there is an, open to the public, crater in Murpfresboro,AR. that one can go to and the diamonds are in an open field. It is operated by the AR. parks service. I go there after a "gulley washer" and rent a sifting screen and always find some kind of mineral. They let you keep anything you find. There have been some nice diamonds found and one can always find tiny diamonds. The largest diamond I have found was worth about 75 dollars, but the kimberlite and such is abundant and it is cool to find gems that you can keep. Be careless and thanks for the input, I appreciate it. Peace. shadetreecountryboy
  10. I believe depressed people can have an acquaintance, but there is never more than 3 friends per person; depressed or not. If one is depressed they might have to "try" to make an acquaintance because one would have to force themselves out of the house; a difficult task depending on the severity of the depression.

Physical pain mekes things difficult also, but not impossible. I know; I have had 11 orthapedic surgeries, but I am not here to talk about me, only to say I understand.

    Peace.

"The ego created the devil so it could blame someone else."[Dr.Deepak Chapra M.D.]

I like his statement because it's cool. What do you think?

    shadetreecountryboy

  11. To, Moontanman; Tes, this is exactly what I am talking about. I have this one certain phy/geo instructor that I cannot even approach with this idea, I guss this person knows it all, or maybe this person thinks I am an idiot, who knows. What do you think? Have there been enough test to call this idea a theory or is it still a hypothesis? I personally think it is a mad cool idea and I believe in the crystal because there is too much pressure for the core to be liquid, alsoI love controversy and debate in science. Thank God we are not on a flat planet! Peace, shadetreecountryboy
  12. Seismographic waves travel at a higher rate of speed from pole to pole as compared from point to point, even though point to point may be a lesser distance. An iron crystal, with them ole' atoms beautifully aligned, COULD explain this. What are anyone's thoughts? Peace, shadetreecountryboy:eek_big:
  13. I agree. I think I will take a walk today if I am able. 13 orthapedic surgeries and isolation sometimes dictate what my daily activities are but I know the difference between "clinical" and just plain ole' "down". I am "down" now, but I still go to school part time and I am able to think good enough to make an "A' in PHY/SCI.,"A' in sociology, and a "B' in psych. And ,heck, I have not been to school since the roaring '70s!"yeeeeHaaww"! Yeppers, I like, toatolly agree mon. Good reading. Peace, shadetreecountryboy
  14. NICE TO BE HERE. I HOPE TO GIVE AND RECEIVE SOME GOOD DEBATES/ADVICE, AND WISDOM. DOES ANY ONE OUT THERE HAVE ANY INPUT ON THE SUBJECT OF THE THEORY THAT OUR MOTHER EARTH'S CORE BEING AN IRON CRYSTAL/, INSTEAD OF A MOLTEN ONE? SHADETREECOUNTRYBOY P.S. I LIKE TO TYPE OUT ALL WORDS BECAUSE (1) I AM OLD SCHOOL AND (2) I HSVE ONLY A FEW GOOD FINGERS TO TYPE WITH AND I CONSIDER IT THERAPEUTACAL.:eek_big:
