And no matter what, dont forget this. There is such a thing as a responsible user, but i havnt met many who can do it. Think you can? Take a 20 bag (has to be enough that u can take a bit and it wouldnt matter)and set it out in plain sight where youll walk by it all the time. Tell yourself that youre only gonna use a little once a month for 6 months. Then follow thru with it. And if youre always thinking about how much you want it, i wouldnt really consider that acceptable. It becomes a distraction in life. (id consider that rehab) *As for acid or shrooms, ive seen, heard, experienced nothing to believe that they are physically addictive, but they are a permanent change. Good? bad? It depends on your trip and thats not something that can be predicted. Its taking chances with the life of your mind. And under no circumstances would i recommend them for the weak or unstable.

We let them do that and we got 'reality TV':naughty: :hyper: I cannot from a moral standpoint recommend or condone the use of drugs to someone that i dont personally know, but i can understand your mindset. On the other hand, i will say stay away from the hard stuff like heroin, crack, etc. Those two specificly are highly addictive after just 1 try.As to proper use withoout addiction? Its very hard to say, because it depends on body size, chemistry, metabolism, immune system, and so on. You also have to consider mental addiction, which can be pretty strong. Every drug has to some extent (no matter what anyone else says) I respect the fact that youre exhibiting caution and doing research.

Anybody good with networksing?
Drakon1323 replied to Drakon1323's topic in Computer Science and Technology
I have been toying around with the idea of building a server for a little while now. Would this be a good application for this or should i use a crappy machine and put the server down the line? Or put the server on a seperate line. I like that idea tho, to put a machine there. -
What about the ice cap on mars? Would that not be an opportune place to do research along these lines? On top of that, if methane is so prevelant in the cosmos, (relatively speaking) why the recent optimism linking it with life? Is it just that its a link with the organic? In my opinion, it is the equivalent. There are creatures down there that are wilder than we could imagine. They dont need light and dont 'see' Does anyone think that there are other senses than the '5' that humans have? Any speculations?

I think theres something in the water.:) :)

I forgot about that, our only known predators are viruses and bacteria. Maybe thats what will happen when we discover life elsewhere in the cosmos (if we make it that long...I think someone will, though) :) :) :) :)

Are his clothes nearby? Is there any other object(s) around him besides the stick (and sand)? Is the stick straight? Does any of that even matter or am i way off (dont answer that)

I definitely see this as being one of the more significant problems that would arise within this issue. As with most 'learned beliefs', it can be highly influencial and usually damaging on a psychological level to have them uprooted abruptly, especially at certain mental ages.

I agree, although, instead of it being urbanization, do you think it could have more to do with the domestication and personification of animals? *Since i was little, ive always wondered what soylent green tasted like.

It wasnt cooked right. You cant cook it the same as beef which was everyones mistake. (of course, noone thought of that and gave up) If done right, they had a little different texture but could be just as moist and delicious, and wasnt much different in toughness. There was a resturaunt in New Hope, PA that made excellent ones 4 a little while.:)

The way we used to be,as hunter gatherers and such, yes. The further we evolved in the intellectual level, the more we became 'aware', the more we needed to fufill the desire for power. Throughout modern history, the people 'in charge' have always tried to supress and control the people. dumb down the populace in order to remain in control and punnish or eliminate opposition. The thinkers kept thinking, but the masses or 'general public' have grown to far outnumber the rest. With freedoms, we have become arrogant, and arrogance along with ignorance and deciet (spelling?) have put us into the current state we are in. People have grown to love the all powerful dollar much more than the betterment of man or the earth and thats the vicious cycle of power that has resulted. look at the commercial market, look at reality tv, look atathe educational levels across the country as a whole. We have broken away from nature and are following out our own created morph of human nature. Its a downward spiral. Thats the unbalance that will ensure our extinction if we dont do something to use our intelligence in a productive way. I know it all sounds like propaganda and conspiracy theories, but if you place everything together, it fits. ...far better than it should.

I cannot agree with that. I mean i do to a point but our nature is influencing our nature. Hold on, ill try to explain....
-
I dont think so at all. Its nature. How would you feel about human? Another GREAT flick is 'ravenous'. Anyone see it? if not, i highly recommend.:) Side note, ever have ostrich burgers? <yummy>

Does capital punishment reduce crime?

good idea. As to the questions posed on the original thead: 1. I really think if implemented the right way, yes. 2. realisticly, i cant answer that. I would say yes if all circumstances warranted such action. -
I could never bring myself to harm any living creature(not including microbes, etc.), but i believe in fair game. if you want to be able to kill animals, you shold not be able to rule out humans. and if you kill for food, dont let any part of that animal go to waste. If nothing else, fertilize youre garden with it. (and if you dont have one, plant a tree or somethin) If you want honesty, ill eat anything if its cooked right, but my nature does not permit me to kill. ...Kind of a hypocracy, i guess...

Society. not everyone, but on a whole, weve become misguided. It seems like people dont think anymore. I think its the stress of living in the northeast thats getting to me. i appologize 4 being so negative. -
Im sorry, im just a little worked up right now.... That is the evidence that were disrupting and i think that the current changes are definitely a course following that principle. I would have to say that it is definitely reversable. ecology made up of biology and matter encompassing the chemistry involved would logicly follow the laws of physics. ...on a greater level than most people think of. im tired.

These are the same people who will buy a bunnie around easter because its cute and throw it into the woods or the side of a highway when theyre tired of it. a domestic bunny wont survive in the wild. i rescued 1 thrown from a moving van on the highway. it was a mess. fractured back, etc. hes better now. -
