I have a problem

in the ps2 port where it should go iv had several people trying and it wont recognise the keyboard, i borrowed a keyboard connector that plugs in somewhere else to see if it was the keyboards socket n it doesnt recognise it, my brother might of not placed the right wires on the motherboard correctly

ummm interesting. Now these are just ideas not sure if they are feasible or if they will even help but here ya go:

 

-Can one use a volt meter to see if the PS2 plug is functional.

-In your bios settings is there an option to turn on/off the ps2? or turn on other keyboard ports?

-Can you boot in safe mode (not sure you operating system) but in some you can actually watch as the computer goes though each set and see if it there is something there.

- Try to boot off a disk and see if the keyboard is recognized there. (if it is then it could be operating system issue).

 

If i think of anything else off the wall i will post. good luck
