Guest chendoh Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 where can I find help to use mutiple quotes in a reply?I will continue to search........chendoh Quote
Buffy Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 A quick tutorial on quoting: To quote someone, the easiest thing to do is hit the "Quote" button in their post. That will give you the basic "codes" to mark quotes. The basic format of this code is: Quote What Buffy said. Expand What you say about Buffy's post.Comes out as: Buffy said: What Buffy said. What you say about Buffy's post. You can then copy and paste some other quote (note that when you are posting to a thread, all the most recent posts show up *below* where you are entering your post), and then put these codes in and replace the name after the equals sign: Quote Buffy says something silly. Expand You say Buffy is silly. Quote Tormod says something brilliant. Expand You say Tormod is brilliant.Comes out as: Buffy said: Buffy says something silly. You say Buffy is silly. Tormod said: Tormod says something brilliant. You say Tormod is brilliant. You can also nest quotes, although this can get out of hand: Quote Buffy says something silly. Quote Tormod says Buffy is silly. Expand Expand You say you agree with Buffy anyway.Comes out as: Buffy said: Buffy says something silly. Tormod said: Tormod says Buffy is silly. You say you agree with Buffy anyway. *Always*--I'll repeat ALWAYS--edit what you're quoting to get down to *just* what you're responding to, its unbelievably rude to quote a page long post and then add "ditto." Don't be a dittohead (either kind). :steering: Have fun on Hypography! Making Hypography Safe for Puppies and other cute animals with big teeth,Buffy Quote

It doesn't seem to. Buffy said: Buffy says something silly. Guest chendoh Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 Thank you, Infinitenow, I tried, but like Buffy mentioned: Buffy said: You can also nest quotes, although this can get out of hand: need more practice Quote
InfiniteNow Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 Best thing to do is start in the advanced editor, try different things, and keep hitting "Preveiw Post" until you get what you want. Good luck! Cheers. Quote
