Flashing BIOS

Ok, so i recently found out that there has been like 10 updates to my bios, and apparently some fix problems i've been having (my 64 box that is)

 

here is an easy howto, if you dont run windows or if all else fails and windows urility does not work, and you just dont have a floppy drive and need the update...

 

you will need kiso, and an empty cd.

 

First you go to http://www.freedos.org and download their bootable dos cd

Then you go to your mobo manufacturer and download a bios flasher and the latest updated bios itself.

Extract the files

start Kiso and open that freedos cd iso

then add the flasher file and the flash update to the iso and save

burn the iso to a cd, and now you have a bootable flashing media, so go and knock yourself out with flashing the device (suggest yu follow the manufacturer instructions on that one and you should be ok)
