MortenS
well, the stag beetle, Lucanus cervus , as well as many other species of stag beetles are globally threatened, and on many nations red lists (and possibly also on CITES). It is protected in EU. But if you are not looking for threatened species, there are other species of Lucanidae that are available for sale (legally). I found a lot of them on the link I posted. It is useful to know the latin name of the orders at least, to navigate that site. To help you out, I made a clicky to a search I made, many nice pictures: Stag beetles (Lucanidae)
Ps2Huang
Hm, ok, except give me the website, tell me any store of America has provided selling beetle specimens. Because even I order online, they charge me UPS fee. So buying in person seems in favor of me.
MortenS
I do not live in United States, and have no idea whether there are any shops that actually sells insects from a storefront. Entomologists, and collectors are usually very scattered around the world , so I do not know whether it makes any sense from a business point of view to keep a storefront open. Why not contact the webstore via email, and ask if you can pick up the specimens instead of having them shipped?
