Homemade laser

Basically i want to build an n2 laser.I know what i need etc. but would like to have a instruction as to how to put it toggether.

I believe that requierements are two plates of aluminium,a plastic insulation, a screw as the switching device, a coil resistor and a20,000 volt power source.

Any advice from experience quarters is welcom. :Alien: :) B) :o :o :o

If you go to long past Scientifc American, Stong's "Amateur Scientist" there is a full description of fabricating a superradiant nitrogen laser, including the HV power supply. Add the suggested rear mirror.

Clear gelatine containing a teeny bit of fluorescein, a cylindrical lens, and a fat flashlamp form a credible dye laser.
