Biochar in the Philippines

My name is Jochen Binikowski, from Hamburg, Germany. I am the consignee of Tigaon Handicraft, a small, family owned and run, handicraft business, based in Tigaon, Camarines Sur, Philippines, which is owned and managed by the family of my Filipina wife. Since 1980 I have regularly visited the Philippines.

In 2008 I transfered my business in Germany to my daughters. They are managing it much better then me. So I have sufficient time and funds to stay in the Philippines and work at my agricultural experiments. I will start a thread with more details.

Unfortunately the English version of my Homepage was not updated for about a year but it is still good to get a first impression:

Terra Preta Biochar Charcoal Ricehusk Corn Green Char Project Philippines

The German version is more actual and has more informations, photos and videos.

I do hope to get in contact with others who are working with biochar in the tropics.

Regards from the tropical office, Jochen
