As you should. The possibilities are wide. Quote i want to make a violin ... Well, it at least be harder than a guitar because you'd have to make a bow as well. Sounds and notes are different things. A sound is any kind of audible sensation. A note is a particular sound that follows the rules of a particular musical scale. In relation to physics, I would recommend (if you do a stringed instrument) to research the physics of why particular string lengths are used. Here's a good place to start: harmonics Quote
buddyzen Posted February 3, 2009 Author Report Posted February 3, 2009 any ideas on how i should make it though it has to be made from scratch except i can buy violin string for it Quote

buddyzen Posted February 3, 2009 Author Report Posted February 3, 2009 wood some tools and alot of woodglue because the wood i have to use will be fragile i might hand carve the thing under the strings with a chizel or something i just don't want to crack the wood Quote
pamela Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 hey Buddy, have you considered making a zither? seems less difficult than a violin and you would not need a bow:) Zither - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Quote
