I really dont know what to put for the title but i wanted to know how come most of the wild animals, everyone except humans, know about how to reproduce when they mature while most of us here learnt about it from our parents or most probably from sex edu.

so whey is all the other species are "smarter" in that area than human?

You really think humans would be completely ignorant of how to reproduce if we didn't model the behavior from others or read about it in a book? :hihi:

Basically, I find your contention completely off the mark. Send two 6 year olds, one male the other female, to live completely isolated and alone on an island given enough resources to survive. When their hormones kick in, they'll know all about reproduction without having ever seen it or heard about it. It's innate. Go rent Return to the Blue Lagoon or something. :)

Sex education is to teach about a lot of things related to sex (contraptions, STDs, birth control, etc.), but not much about the actual act. Every human that walks and breathes and feels the urges will know what to do. We don't need primers.

Read in the Selfish Gene by Richard Dawkins that it is in our genes that knowledge of stuff that promotes survival is encoded. Knowledge like glucose is good (provides energy) and orgasm is good (encourage reproduction). I would really think that basically sex is a very basic instinct
