if you missed the last meteor shower, here is your chance!

http://www.spaceweather.com/meteors/quadrantids/quadrantids.html

"peaks on Monday morning, January 3rd, at 4:20 am PST (12:20 GMT). Observers in western parts of North America are favored. During the hours before dawn they might see dozens to hundreds of shooting stars."

but

"Another reason is brevity. The shower doesn't last long, only a few hours"

Monday morning! this meteor shower clearly isnt for me to watch... :)

Thanks for the info, Tim.

The link was full of some great info. Seems the skies will be very busy the next few days.

Meteor showers, a green comet, the ISS, and a doule planet visiblility that includes Venus and MErcury!! My son is jumping out of his skin. PLUS, the weather is so perfect, it feels like April instead of January, so we won't freeze when we're out there staring into space.

hey, Irish, how much did the telescope present cost for your son?

Hey Tim - maybe you should add your birthday to your forum profile, and remember my maternal tendencies, huh? Also remember that time spent away from the forums for me usually means time spent trading on ebay. I don't pay retail for anything. :)
