Changing something according to will

Evolution was in the news about two months ago (CNN if I recall).

 

I think the subject was similar to the title of this thread, though disimilar to the turn the thread has taken.

 

Does anyone have information about that report. It seems it was potentially an important breakthrough in our understanding of evolution, where instead of being soley attributed to natural selection and random mutations, it was found that will and subsequent action may equally play an important role.
