  1. the only thing i can think to add is that the electron will drop specifically into the third energy level of a hydrogen atom when photons in the infra-red spectrum are emitted. A small point but apparently it was significant enough for me to have to learn it for my physics exam that i put behind me about a month ago. P.S. i have a dictionary sitting next to me and i still make plenty of spelling mistakes, making me a prime example of laziness. :(
  2. as a gamer i'd agree with your wife, with reguards to desensitisation (don't even know if that's a word) but i don't see why that would make people more prone to commiting acts of violence
  3. for someone who just finished highschool and was taught a bit of quantum physics over the last 4 weeks of classes, we finished on the De Broglie wavelength, what would be the next step for someone who wanted to learn more?

  5. to a degree yes. knowing a formula is all well and good but if you can understand how the formula comes about and gives the result it does you won't be sitting in a maths exam wondering which formula to use.
  6. hi ok so by the looks of things you want a numerical value for [LATEX]sin(7\pi)[/LATEX] this is a nice simple question that i think is supposed to get you to think about the nature of periodic functions, like the sine function. so my advice would be, forget formule and just remember that functions like sine and cosine are periodic, ie. [LATEX]sin 0 = sin (2\pi)[/LATEX] as i can't quite tell for sure what question 2 is asking, i have my suspicions but they can pipe down, so i won't offer any assistance there. you can use that formula. you seem to be a bit reliant on formule, again this boils down to sine being a periodic function. so there would be two ways of doing this, simplify [LATEX]sin(11\pi)[/LATEX] as you did (or maybe will do) in question 1 or draw your graph of [LATEX]sin x[/LATEX] well i hope i was of some help and didn't give away too much.
  7. it's times like these i'm glad i don't have to vote until the next election. with all the talk of money this, terrorism that, vote for me i'm a politician and you can trust me to do all of this. i don't know how all you grown ups can stand hearing it and not need a large dose of panadol.

almost, i'm in sunny Queensland. this certainly looks like a big place and i guess i should start creating a list of questions for the chemistry section.

Good to see someone recognised it despite the spelling error  i'll say in advance that the exams are going just fine, even though i have to sit in a stuffy classroom for another 4 days before i sit my exams.

hello all i'm billby. i'm not much for introductions so i'll make this brief, i'm a highschool student (for another 2 weeks anyway) and i am interested in physics and mathematics... that's me in a nutshell i guess.
