Does Capitalism have any business in a New World Order?
BEAKER replied to MagnetMan's topic in Political Sciences
Sounds like class envy to me. -
Yes, I agree - You are definately disturbed. Don't let the door hit you in the *** on the way out.

The solutions to Global Warming include. . . Forgetting about the whole thing and simply waiting about ten years for people to start worrying about global cooling again. -

I don't expect that will ever happen, because although many religions are willing to accept other others with the same measure of credibilty as their own; fundamental Judaism and Christianity cannot do so. It is either because they are humanistically evil, or because they are true. You are attributing the cause of all human conflit to the "elite" of this world; removing responsibility from the individual. This also assumes that those other than the "elite" are inherently good. You yourself have said: -

Don't you mean, independant? Otherwise I think I agree with pretty much all of your argument. I personally like to attempt to go back to the begining - get to the bottom line so to speak; - get real. If there were only two people on earth; one that worked hard to hunt and fish and build himself a shelter - and another who felt incapable of doing those things for himself, and insisted that the other one share his food and shelter - would the working man be out of line to say; "screw you - get your own food and shelter! - you sponge!".? ...And so a war begins.:) Capitalism in it's most primordial form. -

I'm working on it. Of course I know it's considered impossible. -

Actually, what I said was: This is the trillon dollar question. It used to be the million dollar question, but y'know, what with inflation and all... Let me just say that - first of all - I have not achieved perpetual motion...yet; - so in the minds of many, these are the ramblings of an idiot. Or at least someone sincerely deluded. Be that as it may; after approximately 20 or so prototypes over the past 7 years, and countless experiments within the framework of each one, (realizing of course that Like most commonfolk; I have a real job and limited time and resources to invest - compared to what I would find more convenient), I am essentially trying to simulate the rotation of planetary objects within the limits of earth's gavity. I know that as a statement of operational detail, this leaves something to be desired, and is totally vague; and as much as I might like to get more specific; I'm not ready to do that yet. I will say that I really do have high hopes for this next phase, as I gather my materials and get to work on actually building it. So leave the thread open and I'll try to elaborate more later. The fact is, I have given you something to go on. Previous failure, and the pictures of a prior step leading beyond. No one has achieved what I am atempting, and it seems to fly in the face of the immutable laws as you percieve them to be in the year 2007. If you want to close this thread because you are frustrated that I am not asking for your advice, suit yourself. It's just one more example of the genuine search for truth being stiffled; and it's exactly why I'm not asking for advice from anyone. If an inventor of any sort is derailed by those who say it can't be done; he wasn't muh of an inventor to start with. I can make my own observations, thank you very much. Have a nice day.:bow_flowers: -
Crackpot Science And The Quest For The Impossible

I have no problem with the second law of thermodynamics. I'm counting on it. Based on my experimentation; that law will in no way prohibit the (perpetual) motion I am atempting to achieve. It wouldn't work without it. It's not somehing to overcome, it's simply a dynamic to work within. -

-Well y'know - I could tell you; but then I'd have ta kill ya. In all seriousness - I know that it's one of those things that nobody will ever believe untill it happens - (if it happens) - that it actually works. And throughout the ages; the greatest inventions have been concieved, developed and brought to fruition by only one or two people while the world at large sat in dissbelief. - Untill a few years later when they could no longer remember a time when that invention wasn't commonplace. Thanks Boerseun. Believe me I'm not celebrating anything other than the rather incredulous looks on the faces of the few people I have shown my previously "top of the line" design to - in spite of the fact that it did not sustain it's own motion. I am not out to decieve anyone, myself included; and I can apreciate the reason the second law exists. If I say "laws are ment to be broken", I know that in fact that is not necessarily true. That one, in the minds of virtually everone who has a clue, is empirically beyond the realm of that possibility. However, I have caused magnets to do things that would make any rational sceptic think twice about that law. enough to inspire me to continue my experimentation - when I have time, which is getting harder and harder to find; but I digress. I've taken a sabatical of sorts from the pursuit of perpetual motion, but I've got a few relatively new ideas (really modified, old ones) to try. The picture of the stage of my invention that I chose to put on Hypography so long ago is years old - and was then, and I had actually gotten way past that concept when I put it on this page. It hasn't stirred up as much conersation as I had expected; but that's ok. I gave up hope on that design long before I posted it here. Anyway - I've certainly achieved the sort of motion I've been looking for as the primary initial motion; and of course achieving that over and over again (perpetually) without outside intervention is the key to the lock. So I'm about to try another key - if anybody cares. I'm Still working on it. If it wasn't for crackpots we'd all still be scared of fire, and eating our meat raw. Beaker. -
But not the actual events described in those stories. - those are kids that carve things out of small chunks of wood with a pocket knife, right? That ancient terms came from ancient Jews.
-
...And of course, if that's the case - and I'm sure it is - which came first; the chicken or the egg? My meaning being, that if the honorifics drived from the Jews; their worship has always been exclusively to the only One True God. Even before there was the nation of Isreal, and the Jewish people; from the begining those who worshiped God (and specifically the ancestral lineage of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob), understood Him to be the Lord Heaven, and of all the Earth. I'm sure that did inspire those who would be kings to seek that kind of adoration from their subjects. But the only good kings realized that kind of worship was reserved for God alone; while still demanding respect through slightly lesser terms of honor.

That's probably true to a point. I have no idea how to calculate this; but I'm sure that the same length of wire, and the same source of energy will not energize the entire magnetic capacity of a nail too large for the set up. No doubt someone here at Hypography who is far more knowledgeable than I am about such things, could tell you the formula to maximize the magnetic capacity for any given metal object - Im just a hack.
