  1. Hey guys NDSW has a new website! check it out at: http://www.nationaldarkskyweek.htmlplanet.com
  2. LoL you are right Noah it would probably be even better than a mouse trap car. I am sorry Tormod I don't have any pictures of them but my friend may have his still assembled and if he does I will try to get them to you.
  3. I noticed that there was a page that says build a moustrap car that can go over 19 meters! But last year in my school as a technology project we built mousetrap cars and, even though mine only went 52 ft. some went over 95! That is longer than 19 meters and we built them out of scratch and our own designs. We were limited to only a few rubberbands and only two cd's as wheels.
  4. I know it is far to late but I found this interesting. Uncle Al are you going to a bunch of different forums and posting this? I saw this topic on physicsforums...
  5. Ok thanks Noah
  6. "Hello everyone I would like to tell you (all of those who don't know) about National Dark Sky Week." " National Dark Sky Week occurs from April 12th to April 19th from 10-12 pm (Eastern and Mountain Times) and 9-11 pm (Central and Pacific times). National Dark Sky Week (NDSW) gives people a chance to see the sky as our ancestors saw it hundreds of years ago. The sky has long since been forgotten by many and it is my wish that every person in America will be awed by the splendor of the universe. In order to participate in this event, spread the word, turn out your lights, and see the greatest show the universe has to offer!" For more information on NDSW go to http://cosmiverse.folksites.com/NDSW If you would like to help E-Mail me at Astronomer2005@yahoo.com or Jennifer Director and Founder of NDSW at Astronomer107@comcast.net - Nick Assistant Director of NDSW.
  7. O.K sorry I haven't really been around a lot. I'll think about it and get back to you through this topic.
  8. Is tormod back yet?
  9. Dethfire I notice you have a physicsforums link on your post. What is your username on it? But more on topic. I really like robots and stuff like that but wouldn't they be a danger to humans when they could actually think on their own? But man, have you guys seen that robot made by that car company? I forgot what one but man!!! It's amazing it's like a human shape and it can go up stairs help with some things and obey some commands! It's great!
  10. Thanks!!! Well sounds good to me! O.K I'll check out the Astronomy 101 thing.
  11. Amatuer astronomer here. I still need to get a new eye piece for my telescope though!
  12. How do you become a contributor? And what do you have to do?
  13. No in space I do not believe a straight line is possible. The space curvature won't alow it.
