URL posting question

Hi All,

 

Why the site doesn't allow posting URL before a member reachs 15 posts or more?

I suppose that is discouraging spamers but how could I post a reference and its site link in that case?

This is to avoid spammers, yes. We have had rather serious problems with spammers in the past.

 

However, the actual post count needed is 10, not fifteen (I will check why the system claims 15).

 

So three more posts and you can post links without problems.

This has been fixed now - it will report that in order to stop spamming, 10 posts are required.

It does not work. I have 11 posts and it is saying the same.

It takes up to 20 minutes from you reach 10 posts until you can actually post. This is because the system needs to promote you into a different user group.

Feel free to make a couple of dummy posts here to reach 15 posts. Then let's see if that trips the fence. Maybe there is a bug somewhere.

I saw that but it works only with the forums links not "alien" ones.

Perhaps you changed the phrase but not the postcount?

Thats a cool feature I didnt know about (letting hypo links through, but not foreign ones)

 

and SS links are permitted, within reason.. spam is still spam (even if your on 15 posts) and will be deleted.
