FrankM Posted January 25, 2006 Report Share Posted January 25, 2006 I am looking for a least-squares curve fitting program that I can use on my PC that will return the constants. I do not have Excel on my system and I wonder if that programs least-squares process returns the constants. I have an older spreadsheet program that does a curve fit and returns the statistics of the fit but it does not return the constants, m and b. f(x) = mx + b I have found a few programs that will do the curve fit but they do not return the statistical parameters.
