rockytriton Posted October 16, 2005 Report Share Posted October 16, 2005 I usually do the opposite, when I want to boil water for eggs, I use all the ice cubes in my freezer, put them in a pot and start the boiling, it goes much faster that way. I wonder if you boil the water, let it cool to room temp, then freeze it if it will still go faster. yeah it would because you have boiled all of the gasses out of it so it allows convection to occur more easily hence cooling faster...
