genedna Posted May 19, 2005 Report Share Posted May 19, 2005 Hello, The Nigerian Forensic Police (genuinely!), came to Australia to recieve help in breaking a child stealing racquet. We want to make a simple program, where we can put in DNA profile data, and program will use the statistics to calculate the MOST likely matches, so they can be further investigated, and perhaps reunited. I need some help, on finding a formula that I can use in a simple computer program to determine if 2 people are siblings. I have several articles (ie. from Wenker et al. and others) which have quite a few solutions. Only, I am too rusty on statistics to ensure I get it right, and could do with some help to ensure we get it right. If would take an hour or more to read these articles, and then, not sure how long to decide what is the best way to go about doing this.
