Electrical Memory In Rats

Recommended Posts

Rats were trained to remember which lever to pull to get water. Researchers recorded the appropriate signal from CA1 and then turned it off in the rat. However they replayed the signal for the rat from the recording and the rat remembered just like it was from CA1.

“Turn the switch on, the animal has the memory; turn it off and they don’t: that’s exactly how it worked”
