“American Landfill”

A cancer stick,

They hurl down.

Corruption’s little trick,

On down to the ground.

There it lay to glow,

As it took its last dupe.

Now covered in snow,

It’s found a new stoop,

Awaiting its next hearing blow.

It hits catastrophically, Death’s little troop.

There in the landfill they all amalgamate,

But only in America are they not to demonstrate.

A misused Koran,

It’s been cut through,

To hide a gun, banned,

Its next victim you.

The inanimate takes to life,

Eager to eradicate.

As you take your last breath- a strife-

You look up and see in a new state.

There in the landfill they all convene,

But only in America are they not seen.

A spray can,

Used only the night before.

Its colour was tan,

But not any more.

With the intent to claim,

They now perpetrate the bane.

There in the landfill they all remain,

But only in America are they all the bane.

A brand new Bible,

Never been touched,

Beside a thimble,

And a lost crutch.

Much in diversity,

None can convene.

There they sit in cacophony,

Ready to surge.

All in an international mêlée,

But with whom is it worth?

Now they all betray,

The one closest to their birth.

There in the landfill they all convene,

But only in America are they not seen.

This poem is my own origanal work. Led bassest out.
