Using similar technologies to what VW subsidiary Audi has employed in its Sportback concept, the VW BlueSport concept's 54mpg fuel economy makes a mockery of the third-generation Prius's 50mpg, while delivering nearly twice the horsepower. A compact, corner-carving roadster, the BlueSport looks like a real giggle. Roadam Posted January 14, 2009 Report Share Posted January 14, 2009 I am not sure about that super high mpg for the roadster, having a big engine, open roof and sporty look it will definitely guzzle more diesel when going more than 60. Just look at Tesla which has been tested at the Top Gear, it got about 50 miles range in spite manufacturer claim of 240 miles range. Going fast burns alot no matter how efficient your engine is.
