ughaibu
I dont think I was changing the subject. You mentioned the difficulty of fully translating language, this is only one aspect, the Bible is a collection of myths from a culture quite different from ours. Michaelangelica
Crumbs! such intelligent posts for such a silly question. Thanks Craig but god won't let me give you any reputation It is a great sadness that so much killing, torture, racial cleansing, destruction and burning of books has been done because people believed that the Bible(any version) was written by god.I'll just keep Jesus's "Sermon on the Mount" the rest can go to hell where it probably came from and certainly deserves to go.(NO, I am not a religious loony I am an atheist)
charles brough
i also agree the question is leading, making the discussion doomed to be riddled with logical fallacies and inconsistencies from the root. :cup: ;) EXACTLY! I think I read your question as rhetorical. I wouldn't call it a collection of myths exactly. There's creation, the flood, and the Red Sea stories, but there's also poetry/wisdom books, lineages, laws, and histories.
