  1. Hi! I need to know more about functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) especially blood-oxygen-level dependent (BOLD) method. I'm interested in technical aspects. (so i think is more biophysics ). How it function ? How can i use it in the evaluation of the stroke outcome? Thank you .
  2. Hi! I think that is very important to have a discussion about transplantation (legislation and traffic in human organs) There are organs like kidney , liver and bone marrow which can obtained from a living donor . It is proved that transplants are increasing the life expectancy and reducing the costs (for the health system). One of the ethical issues is that long waiting list which encourage the traffic in human organs. (poor people from many countries like India , Brazil, Romania, China are are affected)
  3. It is very interesting. I think Bitter Melon can help many persons with diabetes type two. I suppose that it is a dietary supliment. I'm wondering wich is the mechanism of action?
  4. if you want to help serch for : Medecins Sans Frontieres ( Doctors without borders ) ; they need volunteers .
  5. Malaria kills over a million people around the world each year. Children in Africa suffer the heaviest - they account for 75% of all global deaths from malaria. Every thirty seconds a child dies of the disease. Mothers are also at risk: in endemic areas, malaria is responsible directly or indirectly for 30% of maternal mortality. Malaria is preventable Despite some promising developments, an effective vaccine is still years away. But there are other ways of battling this killer. Sleeping under insecticide-treated bed nets can save lives. Houses can be sprayed with insecticides. (How to buy the insecticides when in Africa a person lives with 1 $ /day ?)

    Absurd

I have a question: What is the most difficult thing to do: to satisfy all your desires or to dominate one ? In my opinion: 1.Trying to dominate one of yours desires is self- control or self suppression. 2. Doing something difficult makes you happy. I saw a movie about samsara or saṃsāra ( refers to the cycle of reincarnation or rebirth in Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism and other related religions); so they believe that in their "lifes" a human person have the opportunity to satisfy all desires , but not everybody have enough power to dominate one of his desires.
  7. Speaking about cancer is like we talk about “who was first the egg or the chicken “ is the same long and interminable discussion. There are cancers like breast or colon cancers, one of the hematological proliferations with a higher survival.( we can’t say the same thing about brain or pancreatic cancers). What determinate cancer? 1.hereditary ( colon cancer) 2.genes (proto-oncogenes and many others ) 3. viruses as human papillomavirus responsible for the cervical cancer (there is a vaccine for it) Treatment is specific for each kind of cancer .
