  1. How about some stuff on unified field theories. I have run across a few in my wandering and would like to hear/read more...
  2. Live is what YOU make it. Yes I would like to be around for the next few billon years!Even here.
  3. I would say we are at the begining of the robotic age. It's going to advance very quickly though. When robots start to really think or have a sense of self is probably some time off. Unless that's what they want us to think.... Not that I wouldn't want a Cherry2000 for myself. (SiFi ref (if you didn't get it.))
  4. I'm afraid I would have to disagree with the VERY esteemed Mr Hawking. You can't travel back in time by isolating an object and then making it go back through time. You must isolate the object from the universe and the make the universe go back in time.(Or at least the local area.ie the distance light travels in a year times the number of years you want to travel back in time. Apply the measurement you get to a spheres radius. That's a local area.) Somewhat energy intensive but works without paradox and violates no laws of physics.
  5. How would we know if someone visited us from the future? Some how I don't think they would be announcing it and if they did the nearest asylum is probably where they are. Or is it will be or have been?
  6. I don't think the world or a least it's people are ready for them yet.Seen the multipule pile ups on the freeways? Can you imagine a three thousand pound vehicle landing on YOUR roof? I sure would like to have one though....
  7. I think time is just a matter of energy state changes and the only time state that is in existance is the (time) state that we are in at the moment. What I mean is the past doen't exist any more and the futher has yet to exist. This way of thinking doesn't make time travel impossible just very energy intensive. Most of the prominant physics theorists don't by this anymore even though any other way seems to violate some very basic physics.
