Hey there, No, I believe that there should be prisons but with reform. I don't believe in double life sentences and I don't believe that you should have prisons like "Pelican Bay." http://www.corr.ca.gov/visitors/fac_prison_pbsp.html This prison houses some of the worst people in the state of California. I mean you have everyone from Mexican Mafia, to the White Mafia and these inmates can order hits on the streets from prison. I think that is crazy. You know if you can reform someone or not. If someone gets life with no chance of getting out, I think there should be no life sentences. Your tax dollars and mine go to keeping these people alive, they eat better than you know and all they do is cause trouble. Nope, I don't agree with that. Hope, that cleared it up for you. T

Hey All, I knew sure as I was sitting here someone was gonna pose that question. I have my beliefs in "Capital Punishment" just as I do my God, I didn't say I was following every "Commandment" but, we do have a right to our own opinion and didn't say it was the one God would want me to choose. I feel the way I do because I was a cop for 2 1/2 years and don't believe in caging animals nor humans. T

Okay Uncle Al, I believe in the GOD; The Holy Trinity (meaning the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit/"Holy Ghost")the perfect and omnipotent and omniscient originator and ruler of the universe. This does not mean in no uncertain terms that you may believe what I do nor, do I expect you too. If you are wondering what religion I am then that would be Southern Baptist. I know you can tear apart my very first post about my views on death but make no mistake, I have a right to feel this way as well do you. Okay I wanna get in on this one because I am studying to be a COTA. PURPOSE=The object toward which one strives or for which something exists; an aim or a goal. LIFE=The property or quality that distinguishes living organisms from dead organisms and inanimate matter, manifested in functions such as metabolism, growth, reproduction, and response to stimuli or adaptation to the environment originating from within the organism. Not just put it together and you have a purpose for life. T

Hey All, Just checking in and seeing all you nice folks comments. Thank you for the "Welcomes" a good change of pace for me because my semester winds next Thursday. As for the whole primate thing, don't waste your value breath or typing on trying to change my views. " Not trying to be fresh" but a lot of people in school have been trying for the whole year to change my mind, they didn't. I so agree with fences as well as the other. I got up one morning and two men in suits showed up at my door and ask, "Do you see us as a World ever being at Peace?" I said "What are you selling or which religion are you?" The man said, "I am a Jehovoh Wittness" I looked at him as serious as I could and told him, "Not as long as he stood at my door, and no one else on this street would see it his way". Hey All' I'm new to this site but I have been reading a lot of the post here for several weeks. I found this lovely site when I was researching for a paper for English on "Death With Dignity Act" and I see that all of you guys have very strong opinions. "Which I have as well". I hope no one throws me under the bus but I want to tell you my stand on several issues. "Death with Dignity" should be an options in every state. "Abortion" is a woman's right to choose. "Capital Punishment" should happen once the person has been given sodium-pentothaol and with no doubt did the crime. I don't believe in caging people nor animals. I don't believe in evolution, I did not come from a primate. I do believe in God and a Higher power than all of us. I am studying to be an "Occupational Therapy Assistant". I do believe that if you want to be an organ donor than you should. Myself, I will be donating my body to Science, because I will be done with it. LOL. I do believe in the "right-to-die", no machines for me. Let me go. I have learned in my 37 years on this Earth(ROCK) that all people are different and have a right to their veiws, even if they are not the same as mine. I believe some Dr's just like to get cut happy.
