Hi, I'm new here and a bit nervous about posting. There was an article in Scientific American a while ago about the big bounce instead of the big bang, that is, a previous universe (or many) collapsed and created the singularity we know of. As I recall, the author identified some way that the traces of the previous universe could be seen. Could this be a solution? Does anyone know if any more work has been done? Regards, John.
