Can You Help With An Unusual Survey?
dirty.deeds replied to dinojoe's topic in Science Projects and Homework
Done..hope it helps...... just out of interest are you going to post your findings here when your survey is completed? -
No, Windows is not a virus. Here's what viruses (viri?) do: They replicate quickly -- okay, Windows does that. Viruses use up valuable system resources, slowing down the system as they do so -- okay, Windows does that. Viruses will, from time to time, trash your hard disk -- okay, Windows does that, too. Viruses are usually carried, unknown to the user, along with valuable programs and systems. Sigh... Windows does that, too. Viruses will occasionally make the user suspect their system is too slow and the user will buy new hardware. Yup, that's with Windows, too. Until now it seems Windows is a virus but there are fundamental differences: Viruses are well supported by their authors, are running on most systems, their program code is fast, compact and efficient and they tend to become more sophisticated as they mature. So, Windows is not a virus. Just a thought :hihi:

How many forum members does it take to change a Light bulb ? 1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed 14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently 7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs 1 to move it to the Lighting section 2 to argue then move it to the Electricals section 7 to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about changing light bulbs 5 to flame the spell checkers 3 to correct spelling/grammar flames 6 to argue over whether it's "lightbulb" or "light bulb" ... another 6 to condemn those 6 as stupid 2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is "lamp" 15 know-it-alls who claim they were in the industry, and that "light bulb" is perfectly correct 19 to post that this forum is not about light bulbs and to please take this discussion to a lightbulb forum 1 to defend the posting to this forum saying that we all use light bulbs and therefore the posts are relevant to this forum that would be you Ross 36 to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to buy the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs work best for this technique and what brands are faulty 7 to post URL's where one can see examples of different light bulbs 4 to post that the URL's were posted incorrectly and then post the corrected URL's 3 to post about links they found from the URL's that are relevant to this group which makes light bulbs relevant to this group 13 to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety including all headers and signatures, and add "Me too" 5 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot handle the light bulb controversy 4 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?" 1 to say "do a Google search on light bulbs before posting questions about light bulbs" 1 forum lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now and start it all over again

dirty.deeds replied to dirty.deeds's topic in Philosophy Forums
no i don't really specialise in the chicken and egg questions ,i was just tucking into a chicken jalfrezzi (curry) and after several pints of beer it came to me...LOL... :eek_big: It's a difficult one to answer though isn't it...which ever way it is answered the vegan has to go against thier dietary and moral beliefs and have to terminate a life to save a life... -
well as you asked so nicely..LOL.... (sorry to everyone for going off topic,i promise i won't do it again .. :eek_big: ) Schools! Public vs Comprehensive There is, as I'm sure you are aware, a slight difference between private schools and comprehensives in Britain. The Department of Education has realised this and has revised the secondary Maths Exam papers accordingly. Attached are the most recent maths exam papers for your reference. MATHS TEST FOR COMPREHENSIVES Name:_______________________________________________________ ______ Nickname:___________________________________________________ _______ Gang Name:_______________________________________________________ __ 1. Simon has 0.5 kilos of cocaine. If he sells an 8 ball to Matt for £300 and 90 grams to Ollie for £90, what is the street value of the rest of his stash? 2. Damon pimps 3 bitches. If the price is £40 a ride, how many jobs per day must each ***** perform to support Damon's £500 a day coke habit? 3. Crackster wants to cut the kilo of cocaine he bought for £7,000 to make a 20% profit. How many grams of strychnine will he need? 4 Trev got 6 years for murder. He also got £350,000 for the hit. If his common law wife spends £3,100per month, how much money will be left when he gets out? Extra Credit Bonus: How much more time will Trev get for killing the slapper that spent his money? 5. If an average can of spray paint covers 22 square metres and the average letter is 1 square metre, how many letters can be sprayed with eight fluid ounce cans of spray paint with 20% extra paint free? 6. Liam steals Jordan's skateboard. As Liam skates away at a speed of 35mph, Jordan loads his brother's Armalite, If it takes Jordan 20 seconds to load the gun, how far will Liam have travelled when he gets whacked? __________________________________ MATHS TEST FOR PRIVATE SCHOOLS Name:_______________________________________________________ ___________ ____________________________________________________________ ___________ ____________________________________________________________ ___________ ____________________________________________________________ ___________ (lf longer please continue on a separate sheet) School______________________________________________________ ____________ Daddy's/Mummy's Company:________________________________________________ 1. Harry smashes up the old man's car, causing x amount of damage and killing 3 people. Fiona's personal shopper decides to substitute generic and own-brand products for the designer goods favoured by her employer. In the course of a month she saves the price of a return ticket to Fiji and Fiona doesn't even notice the difference. Is she thick or what? 3. Tristram fancies the arse off a certain number of debutants, but he only has enough Rohypnol left to render 33.3% unconscious. If he has 14 tablets of Rohypnol, how is he ever going to shag the other two thirds? 4. If Verity throws up 4 times a day for a week she can fit into a size 8 Versace. Three days a week he fancies women. On the other days he fancies men, ducks and vacuum cleaners. However he only has access to the Hoover every third week. well here we go........... "Lucky Dog" rule, which allows the first car one lap down to get the lap back when there is a caution.A driver who gets a lap back because of the rule can't make a second pit stop during that caution to top up with fuel. .................................. "Yellow Flag Pit Closures" rule, which means you cannot enter the pits then regain your origional position on exit....you cannot effectively race back to the yellow flag........... Go on then your turn...explain the offside rule..... :) ............this is a challenge buffy... :eek2:

Buffy has a full and incisive knowledge of the beautiful game....go on explain the offside rule...LOL.....i've never met a women that can... :eek2: Look on the bright side tormod atleast both our countries don't have to play football in body armour and have a break ever 20 seconds ...LOL..... in the rest of the world we play rugby which is american football for men without the bodyarmour.... :eek_big:

Here's a question..i can't see any answer to
dirty.deeds replied to dirty.deeds's topic in Philosophy Forums
That both the egg and the chicken die....if they don't eat one..... but then again, lets make it so the vegan dies aswell if they don't eat one... -
Ok here we go... There is a general consensus in the psychiatric comunity that peadophiles are suffering from an illness and that it is not a sexual preferance...They used to say the same about homosexuals in the uk.. Homosexuality is now an accepted sexual preferance so in that light is the same going to happen to the peadophiles eventually? personally i think paedophiles should be hung draw and quatered aswell as being poisened ,shot and stabbed all at the same time... If there are any homosexuals that are agrieved about me using there sexuality as a comparison,it is not meant to be detramental to them in any way whatsoever..It's just using it as a way of showning that sexual preferances and acceptabilty change over the years. Sexual preferences is a dogey subject to say the least..When 2 consenting people have a relationship aslong as no one gets hurt, then whatever they do is up to them....But when these peadophiles abuse a child it's a whole different ball game.... So what do you think are peadophiles suffering from a psychiatric issue or is it a sexual preferance?

It's worthwhile joining in the uk...a membership ammounts to the same as a get out of jail free card in monopoly...there has been years and years of the police and criminals abusing there membership..Which is well documented over the years in both the press,in various books and on the net.. The basis is that if you make yourself known to another member in a police interview..the officer has a duty to help you in your 'hour of need'.. One of the most noted cases was one that involved Kenny Noye...He was involved in the brinks mat bullion case..He disposed of the gold..He used his masonic connections to keep an eye on what the police were doing in relation to himself..so he could keep one step ahead of the investigation into himself..
