This sh!t isn't using spacetime and doesn't have a physical state. If we could figure out how to get it under a skateboard we would have hoverboards.


If you achieve a volume without quantum fluctuations ..you achieve an area that doesn't have spacetime with its gravity.

no, different things AFAIK.

@the original post: A BEC DOES get under the hoverboard. BEC will do some neat stuff to whatever's trying to contain in and coat the whole thing as evenly as possible ~1 atom thick. It wouldn't cause a hover effect though.

@the second one. Resonant vacuum is interesting. Looks like an attempt at a Bussard collector? Could be a good way to save on fuel if it can deviate or collect real particles. I don't know if playing charge games with virtual particles will actually have an effect on vector though.

The concept of engineering the vacuum of space so that you fall upwards would require space above an object to behave as if a heavier object was there.


Various gravitational theories based on entanglement, quantum foam etc would suggest an electro magnetic manipulation of the vacuum might be possible at some time in the future by either

1) reducing the amount space is entangled in the direction you want to go.

2) causing the quantum foam in the direction you want to go to be destroyed at a faster rate than it would be by absorption by mass.


Inversely since we can entangle photons easily could we increase the amount of entanglement or quantum foam in the direction we dont want to go and go upwards. 



Maybe something around the casimir effect creating a tubular electromagnetic barrier above an object and fall up the tube.



Apparently glow, cause car electrics to fail and then start working again, give people radiation burns etc.

Burns can be received from high frequency radiation, car electrics might fail if a massive positive static charge was to land on the -ve earthed chassis, momentarily reversing the polarity of a battery maybe. A glow so you could see them, or some radiation effect in the visible spectrum.

Beam me up.


Edit electromagnetic systems have resonance that can have very high gains at the correct frequency, I wonder if there is any resonance frequencies of the vacuum that could be played with for amusement
