The Archaeopteryx clearly had feathers.

Love the feathered Tyrannosaur. Though the breakfast bit was quite detailed... Gonna stay away from cheese for a few days.

I wish the chicken skeleton was more upright, but you can see the similarities.  The enlarged sternum (breastbone) on the chicken is an evolutionary development for anchoring flight muscles.

I should add that paleontologists believe that Archaeopteryx glided, not flew, which would account for the small breastbone and the claws for climbing.
