Is Language A Tool Of Convergence Or Divergence ?

In highly evolved simians (humans by definition) the choice of words can cause a storm in a teacup.

Consider 3 people - a techological innovator, a physicist and a psychologist trying to explain the catch-phrase "ahead of your Time" ...

The tech geek says this equates to the latest multicore 3D chip that operates on a nano scale.

The physicist says that Einstein's Relativity makes a time-leap impossible, since that would require you to travel faster than light, which would cause infinite time-dilation.

The psychologist says that the phrase equates to a child prodigy, whose mental maturity far exceeds his chronological age.

Sometimes I wish human evolution had stopped at chimpanzees !!!  :sherlock:

According to my point of view, language is a tool of convergence if all the people living in the community have common language.

If you are a European living in Beijing, you have to learn Mandarin (an illustration) ....

The "community" you describe would override the native language of foreign expats intending to work in a particular country ....
