Transhumanist
Nano technology, because of its ability to carry out cell functions at smaller than cell sizes, can alter dna structures to complex and precise specifications. On a rudimentary scale, with mild just-emergent sophistication, quadrillions of self-replicating nanobots can prevent apoptosis. Thus, nanotech could restore already deleterious tissues to zygote levels of vitality and prevent any further cellular degradation as dna is copied and reprinted during mitosis. That's baby stuff. Solar powered and highly sophisticated nanotech models could replace all organs and cells within the human body. But where does that leave the mind? When the mind is assimilated to create a similar structure? Will this mind truly be a different sentient? Or will it be you? With all your passions and experiences?
