Russians Arrest American Theif

I, personally, don't blame the Russians for arresting a thief as I would not like to be stolen from either as my recent run in with a thief was very unpleasant which stole MV-3 Bacteriophages from me, what do you think about the situation with the American thief being detained? This is a very old problem as even people were nailed to crosses for being a thieves in the Roman Empire times as a punishment for this crime.
