There seems to be a very strong relationship between 3 aspects of a state, and Republican orientation.
States that are poor(er), less healthy, and less with lower levels of education. seem to be very strongly Republican; the opposite is true of Dem states--better health etc.
Does anyone know of any research, or speculation, by political scientists or other behavioral scientists, that explains this?
If you are not aware of any research, what are your speculations? It does seem obvious to me, somehow, --maybe a function of education? Surely emotional matters are involved as well. Thanks for any replies.
