  1. Okay, just so you know, there's already a group of people making the SAO ( argus.forum-invision.com ), so I suggest you join them because they said they're making progress on the NG. @Five2Fly are you quoting me there?
  2. Hmm, do you know lucid dream?
  3. Moderation note: This post was split from How Long Until We Could Make A Real Sword Art Online (sao) Nerve Gear Type Device, because that long thread is being broken up into threads by subject to make them shorter and more readable. This thread is for discussion of the practical business creating more immersive virtual reality, and speculation about the future of such business Okay, how about we make this a real project? With teams and funds and stuff? Let's move this to a new website and start working out the biggest problems. @deadlydoener What is your university? Edit: Found this on the internet
  4. Then again, we lack the device needed. Btw, I'm 13 so, I'm new at these things. Sorry for my bad english (and triple post).
  5. I mean, how about this: The Nervegear acts as a second body to the brain and a second brain to the body. The former is for the input/output system, and the latter is to put the body into a sleeping state. Why don't we scan for what kind of signal is being sent to & from the brain, and then store the data for use in-game? Like with sight, the eyes detect light and convert it into electro-chemical impulses in neurons. why don't we scan that and then write the information we want to give to the player based on the information we get? Of course there will be a lot of calibrations for each person, but I think people are willing to do that to go to the "game world". Also this maybe useful for medical purposes.
  6. Uhh, why do you need to read the whole brain? Most of it are used for thinking, right? Don't you think to create a virtual environment, you only need to read and write on these areas?
