Letting you know in advance my critism is constructive and me thinking out loud. How would I prevent the copper wire from being ripped of by the rigors of combat. and there have to be two connections between sabers for there to be a circut. Thanks for the suggestions. I think something alonf the lines of your copperwire thing may be possible. For the "swhish" sensor I was also thinking something on a spring. Like a variable reistor on a spring with a weight. I don't know how id go about interfacing that with the computer tho.

I may be putting together a stage presentation involving light sabers as seen in starwars. So far it seems that lighting the sabers will not be a problem as I intend to use el wire (glo wire). But any ideas you have are welcome. Making the sound is what is going to be the hard part. My current idea is to have some sort of sensor near the tip of the saber which would send a signal to a computer and depending on the signal the computer recieves it will put out a certain intensity in sound. I need to do this for two sabers simulunatiously. Also I want some way for the computer to recognise when the two sabers are in contact and play a sound (two sounds actually one for initial contact and one for continous contact. Any ideas you have for this project are most welcome.

Ok so id need to upgrade both simlutainusily. What can you tell me about overclocking. Is there a general "Safe" methode? Also isint the gpu in the vid card? And can someone tell me what mobo is?

Well I knew THAT. LOL. Halo is still fun tho. I guess what I should have been asking is: What do all the specs for Processors and motherboards mean . Which are important? Also can I buy a new P4 mother board and use my P3 processor? And vice versa?

My comp now. 256 mg ram 2x 128 18 gb hd plll 800mhz GeForce FX 5500 256mb vid card I want a processor that will run over 1000mhz im sure ill need a new board for this I want to make the upgrades for less than 200$ canadian I don't know what is needed to insiall a new processor onto a mother board (tools etc) biut ive worked with most other components of my comp before. I dont know what processor and board i should get i want stuff that wil eventually let me run HL2 and Halo 2 can you guys offer suggestions on boards and processors? I plan on buying the stuff from new egg or a local suplyier. ty in advance
