I recently bought a bottle of rust remover/cleaner.. Its called Phosphoric Prep & Etch.. The only thing under contents says it contains phosphoric acid. It is a dark green liquid, a little oilly. Any ideas on how to get the phosphoric acid out of this? Ive heard of green phophoric before but i have never seen it. I could boil it to get the water out, but phosphoric acid has a low boiling point doesnt it? Any ideas would really help thanks.

So use an iron cathode and a carbon anode??? can i then just boil the mixture down untill i have the iron oxide instead of waiting for it to dry?

i need some help with thermite. I made it today, i combined 10 grams of Fe2O3 and 4 geams of Al powder. I put them in the mortle and pestle and mixed them good to a fine powder. I used the magnesium method and the glycerin/kmno4 method to light it and it still wont light. I dont know what im doing wrong. my Al powder is fine i got it from united nuclear. i made my own Fe2O3 by electrolysis of steel/iron rod. one on the anode and one on the cathode. I then took the liquid with the sludge in it witch i thought was iron hydroxide and i boiled it and i got red chuncks and i put them in powder form. That should be Fe2O3 right? I dont know what im doing wrong.
