Absolutely not!:hihi: Contrary to popular belief, milk is bad for cats.

Again, absolutely not!:rainbow: This is not experimental science. If you assume ownership of a pet, it is your responsibility to get regular veterinary care. They have the knowledge & equipment to properly diagnose & prescribe safe treatment.

I would second that.

Few adult mammals, including most humans, cannot tolerate the lactose in milk.

You can buy lactose free milk from the pet food section of your supermarket although it is sometimes cheaper in the 'human' section'

Cats don't need to drink as much as dogs.

You must get rid of fleas and worms. Some cats don't mind you grooming them ie hunting and killing fleas with your fingers.

Unfortunately I have found the evil chemicals that you drop on to cats skin to kill fleas and worms the most painless way to go for cat and human.

(Except for the cost- you need to resign yourself to the fact that the cat will eventually cost you a small fortune in vet bills)

You will have to get advice on what is safe worming medicine for a kitten.

I noticed 'kitten dried food' the other day with added "colostrum", amazing. This might help the diet;

She sounds very young to be away from her mum.

Has she got a litter tray?

Give her lots of cuddles and pats and play with her

Re the milk-products (ice cream ) etc.

Most milk processing will make lactose easier to digest or eliminate it entirely. Most hard cheese is free of lactose.

It is not a "drop-down-dead" type of reaction .

The undigested protein can cause lethargy (How do you tell with cats?) and dirrohea. Not all cats will have big problems, especially if the milk is a small part of their diet.

But kittens should certainly NOT be fed cow's milk.
