Wolf spider in ophthalmologist's office

Recommended Posts

Wolf spiders are robust, agile hunters that live on the ground in leaf litter or burrows. They are often found in lawns and gardens.

Wolf spiders have eight eyes in three rows (4,2,2), with the four smaller eyes in front and the four largest arranged in a square on top of the high and convex head. The difference in the size of the reflected image from these eyeballs inspired physiologists and physicists to develop KERATOMETER,instrument which measures the radius of curvature of cornea by measuring the size of the image reflected from the cornea.
